Held at the Conrad Hotel Tokyo, the 2020 ANZCCJ Shinnenkai was slightly different to our usual ones. In an effort to raise funds for the Australian bushfire crisis, the event was instead an “ANZCCJ Charity Shinnenkai.” While marking the beginning of 2020 and recognising our successes in 2019, it was also necessary to express condolences toward Australia; to the people that have lost their homes, their loved ones, their precious animals and bushland. As Chair Emeritus it was a great honour to be asked to be the MC, but the real honour was seeing the way the business community came together to support Australia following the bushfires. I would like to personally extend my thanks to everyone who participated in the raffle and auction, as well as everyone who donated items for both events, many of whom have been long term supporters of the bilateral relationship.
2020年の幕開けにあったANZCCJの新年会は、通常とは少し違った形で開催されました。
オーストラリアの被災を助ける募金をするために、ANZCCJチャリティー新年会とさせていただき、同時に弊所の２０１９年における成功を発表しました。
そして、家を失くした方々、愛するものを失くした方々、大事に育てた動物や植物を失くした方々へお悔やみを申し上げる場としても使わせていただきました。
名誉会頭として、司会進行をさせていただいた事、またビジネスにより繋がったこの会の皆様に、オーストラリアのサポートをするために手を取り合い協力していただけたことを誇りに思います。
新年会でのオークションや募金に参加していただいた皆様、賞品の提供をしてくださった皆様、そして長期に渡り弊所と協力をしてくださっている皆様に感謝を申し上げます。
